Berlusconi gets 7-year-jail for having sex with minor

Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has been sentenced to a seven-year jail term for having sex with an underage prostitute.

Berlusconi had earlier been found guilty of abuse of power and indulging in paid sex with nightclub dancer Karima El Mahroug while he was the premier of Italy.

The Italian billionaire, who has faced corruption charges, claimed that he is innocent and the charges are baseless.

Prosecutors claimed that Berlusconi had sex with Mahroug during one of his wild 'bunga-bunga' sex parties at his villa near Milan.
