PM calls UPA meet to discuss Telangana creation

Anita Katyal reports: Before the Congress Working Committee takes a final call on the formation of a separate state of Telangana,  Prime Minister Manmohan Singh  will  seek the consent of allies next week at a specially convened meeting of the UPA Coordination Committee. 

The party's Working Committee will meet subsequently  to endorse the decision already taken by the Congress Core group. 

The dates for the two meetings are yet to be formalised but they will be convened before the opening of the monsoon session of Parliament on August 5.
