The Supreme Court today pulled up the Centre for not responding "comprehensively" to allegations of irregularities in coal block allocations.

The court has directed the government to file a comprehensive affidavit on ALL 164 allocations including supporting documents, records and minutes of the meetings supporting allocation of coal blocks in four weeks.

The Centre has also been asked to file records of all 36 steering committee meetings for allocating coal blocks in 2009 by July 16.

The SC said, "There is lot of deficiency/infirmity in decisions taken by the screening committee. We are concerned urgently with the non-partisan investigation by the CBI."
