Metro derails in New York City, some coaches in water

A passenger train has derailed in the Bronx area of New York City, prompting a major emergency services response, reports BBC.

Some of the carriages of the Metro-North train had been submerged in water, according to an eyewitness.

ABC News says there are reports of "multiple injuries".
