China's H7N9 bird flu cases rise to 60

Eleven new cases of the deadly bird flu H7N9 have been found in China, bringing the total in the country to 60, a report has said.

The new cases of the H7N9 strain were reported in the central province of Henan and the capital Beijing.

Authorities believe the virus is being spread through direct contact with infected poultry, the BBC reports.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), there was no evidence yet of human-to-human transmission.
