Lanka prez visit: MDMK chief Vaiko detained in MP

MDMK chief Vaiko and 700 supporters protesting the visit of Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa were detained at Chhindawara, Madhya Pradesh today.

Vaiko's supporters clashed with the the police in Chhindawara.

Vaiko was held while marching towards Sanchi, 45 km from Bhopal, where Rajapaksa is visiting to inaugurate a Buddhist University.

We will not forgive the Madhya Pradesh government, said Vaiko. He blamed the Congress and the BJP for being insensitive towards the cause of Tamils.
