Corruption charges against former Orissa CM probed

Biju Janta Dal MPs want the disqualification of former Chief Minister Hemanand Biswal on corruption charges. The Central Vigilance Commission has referred the matter to the Meira Kumar, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. The 14 MPs of the Biju Janata Dal have sought a CBI inquiry into the corruptions charges on Biswal.
The Lok Sabha Secretariat is examining this reference and a reply is likely to be sent to the CVC.
