Congress may ditch allies, go it alone in TN, Maha
November 02, 2012  10:55
The Congress is set to approach the approach the November 4 rally in New Delhi with a three-point action plan. The plan is this: Project Rahul Gandhi; a budget plan for an early 2013 Lok Sabha polls and an interaction session at Surajkund. The pary has also decided to go it alone in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

After the attack on her son-in-law, Robert Vadra, Sonia Gandhi wants to be freed from the PMO. Dr Singh is undergoing tremendous strains and to end this crisis, the party feels it is better to opt for an early Lok Sabha poll.

The added advantage for the Congress is that the BJP is in a divided house. This internal assessment apart, top leaders want to finalise whether to go it alone in the aforementioned states -- a plan propounded by Rahul Gandhi.

That will of course, mean the end of the alliance with DMK in Tamil Nadu and the NCP in Maharashtra.
