Nitin Manmohan, producer of Bollywood film 'Gali Gali Chor Hai' was grilled for about two hours in connection with co-producer Prakash Chandnani, who came under police lens for his alleged role in running an IPL betting racket that was busted recently, police said.

"Nitin Manmohan's statement has been recorded on Monday for two hours. We asked various questions related to Chandnani like since when he knew him and whether he had any idea of the latter's activities," a Crime Branch official told PTI.

Chandnani's name had figured during the interrogation of an arrested bookie, Sonu, who revealed that he used to receive orders from the former, they said.

Following these revelations, the Crime Branch had decided to summon Manmohan for questioning.

On May 17, police had arrested six betters, including twon top bookies, namely Sonu Malad alias Batiya and Deven Kothari alias Bhaiji, on the charge of pledging money on IPL cricket matches. Another bookie identified as Firoz Ansari was apprehended later.
