Khurshid: Always knew Anna wanted to join politics

Law and Justice Minister Salman Khurshid reacting to Anna Hazare's interview to CNN IBN said the social activist is welcome to join politics, and added that he had predicted this development much earlier.

"Let him come. We are saying that he should come. If he wants to come he can enter politics," Khurshid said reacting to Hazare's statement that he is willing to join politics if people asked him to.

"When we used to say it, you (media) didn't believe us. He asked a lot of questions, but now, he is doing the same. He always said that we will not contest elections and asked that how do these people get funds and other things to contest elections," he added.

Hazare said he was willing to enter politics if people demanded and they could put up candidates to contest in elections.
