Cong forms 10-member committee on Assam violence

The Congress has announced a 10-member coordination committee to look into the Assam violence issue.

In New Delhi, Muslim MPs across party lines and including some from the Congress, met Home Minister P Chidambaram to say they have lost confidence in the Tarun Gogoi government.

The ethnic clashes between Bodos and Muslims over the past six days have killed 44 people so far.
