Godhra: Moving on, but at what price?

In Godhra, the town in Gujarat that is home to about 160,000 people, the train station was quiet on a recent afternoon. A police officer stopped me from snapping a picture. Normally it wasn't a problem, he said, but right now he had orders to be careful. Careful, of course, because these were the days leading up to the tenth anniversary of one of India's worst incidents of communal violence, which began here on Feb. 27, 2002.
