CPI(M) has decided to extend support to the Delhi government against the Centre's ordinance, says Delhi CM and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal.

"We have condemned the ordinance brought by the Centre. It is unconstitutional. It is also contempt of court. We appeal to the biggest opposition party Congress to come forward to save our Constitution," CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury says.

As part of his ongoing drive to reach out to opposition parties to garner support against the Centre's ordinance on control of services, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has sought time to meet Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and party leader Rahul Gandhi. There has been no positive response to date as a result of stiff resistance from party leadership.
