A Delhi court summoned Delhi's former deputy CM Manish Sisodia and other accused on June 2 after the supplementary chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

The Rouse Avenue court took cognisance of the supplementarycharge sheet filed by the CBI against AAP leader Sisodia, Arjun Pandey, Butchi Babu and Amandeep Dhal and issued summons to them for June 2.

The CBI claimed in the supplementary chargesheet that Sisodia admitted to destroying two phones which he was using before July 2022.

"The two handsets which were used prior to 22.07.22 have been admittedly destroyed by accused Manish Sisodia as confirmed by him in his response to Notice under section 91 CrPC," the agency alleged.

The CBI said that investigation revealed that from January 1, 2020 to August 19, 2022, Sisodia used three mobile handsets. The last handset used by him was seized during the searches in the case. -- ANI
