Rahul Gandhi disqualified from Lok Sabha

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday disqualified Rahul Gandhi as an MP, following his conviction in a defamation case by a Surat court on Thursday. Rahul Gandhi's disqualification is effective from the date of his conviction, March 23, says the Lok Sabha Secretariat.
