AIADMK targets Stalin over law and order situation after attack on Trichy MP

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's interim general secretary and Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday targeted Chief Minister M K Stalin over law and order in the state, following an attack on DMK MP Trichy Siva's residence.

On his Twitter account, EPS, as Palaniswami is known, uploaded two viral videos, of which one shows Siva's house being attacked by a group of people.

The incident was reportedly a fallout of DMK's internal politics.

The other video shared by Palaniswami showed ruckus inside a police station.

Referring to this, he asked if "law and order in this rule is in the control of rowdies".

People are apprehensive and "what is the response of the chief minister who holds the Police portfolio," the LoP asked.

Meanwhile, the DMK announced the suspension of four party workers belonging to its Tiruchirappally Central unit, for violating party discipline.

DMK general secretary Duraimurugan said, in a statement, that the four men were being suspended from all party positions, including its primary membership, for violating party discipline and bringing disrepute to the organisation. -- PTI
