Senior journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik passes

Senior journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik breathed his last on Tuesday. The 78-year-old was rushed to a hospital in Gurugram after he reportedly had a fall in the bathroom at his residence.

A political analyst and a renowned columnist, Ved Pratap Vaidik was the founder-editor of Press Trust of India's Hindi news edition Bhasha.

He studied and researched Afghan foreign policy and enrolled at Columbia University. He also held degrees from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and Moscow's Institute of People of Asia.
