Coal scam: 4-yr jail for Darda, son; 3 for ex-coal secy Gupta

Delhi's Special Court sentences former Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Darda to four years imprisonment in a case relating to irregularities in the allocation of a coal block in Chhattisgarh. His son Devender Darda, M/S JLD Yavatmal Energy Pvt Ltd's Director Manoj Kumar Jayaswal were also sentenced to four years imprisonment.

The court also sentences ex-coal secretary H C Gupta, two senior public servants KS Kropha and KC Samria for three years jail term in the same case. -- ANI
