The family is safe

The power of social media can be humbling. Actor Kartik Aaryan retweeted a message yesterday seeking help in finding a family of tourists missing in flooded North India.

A tweet from a person named Priyal Gala yesterday had read:

"We are looking for a family of 4 Dhiren Vira, Sunita, Shubham, Kirna.

They were on a Road trip to Leh from Mumbai last contact was on Sunday evening 9:00 PM when they were about 4kms before ATAL Tunnel.

Car details VW Taigun Yellow colour MH 01 DT 8615 RT and help find them."

Kartik Aaryan retweeted the cry for help, saying, "Please Help (folded hands emoji)."

The message was also tweeted by several others.

Today, an hour ago, Gala tweeted the good news:

"Thanks to the power of social media, they have been located and are safe!

Thank you

@TheAaryanKartik

for the help."

The family was found safe and sound at a military camp at Sissu near Manali.
