Kharge files nomination to contest Cong prez polls

Veteran Congress leader and lead of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, has filed his nomination for the post of Congress president.

Former Union minister Shashi Tharoor will be Kharge's challenger.

Polling will take place on October 17 and the result will be announced on October 19.
