TN to deploy 20K cops in southern districts

Tamil Nadu has deployed about 20,000 policemen for security in southern districts of the state amid petrol bomb attacks in various parts of the state.

Night patrolling has also been intensified while security increased at the homes, offices and places of important people, said South zone IG Asra Garg.

"Owners of petrol depots in southern districts have been advised not to supply petrol in bottles in retail mode," said Garg.

He also said to identify people who repeatedly comes to fill petrol in same bikes. -- ANI
