Egypt's President Sisi is Republic Day chief guest

President of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi will be the chief guest for the Republic Day celebrations in 2023, said ministry of external affairs on Sunday.

"At the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, will be the Chief Guest at India's Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2023. This is the first time that President of the Arab Republic of Egypt will be the chief guest at our Republic Day,' said the external affairs ministry statement.
