More on senior journalist Shobha Warrier's book launch.
Ajit Balakrishnan, founder, Rediff.com, spoke on the need for journalists to equip themselves with adequate knowledge on information science and technology. He said fears that artificial intelligence may take over many of the roles in journalism were largely exaggerated claims.
Mr Balakrishnan was speaking at the launch of Warrier's book, 'Battlefield India: 25 Years of Politricks and Economix'. a chronicle of the near past which tells us how the cycle of chaos repeats itself.
The story starts in 1997 on the eve of India's 50th year as an independent nation, and ends in 2022 as free India celebrates its 75th birthday.
The book launch also saw a panel discussion on, Whether journalists should take sides?.
