Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala shot dead

Congress leader and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified people in Mansa district of the state. Two people accompanying Sidhu in a vehicle also injured in the firing.

"Congress leader and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was brought dead," said Dr Ranjeet Rai, civil surgeon, Mansa Hospital.

Dr Rai said that three people were brought to the hospital, out of which Sidhu was dead.

"After giving primary treatment, the two injured have been referred to a higher institute for further treatment,' he said.

"The murder of Sidhu Mooseala, Congress candidate from Punjab & a talented musician, has come as a terrible shock to Congress party & the entire nation. Our deepest condolences to his family, fans & friends," said Congress in a tweet. -- ANI
