Jharkhand Janata Dal-United chief and former MLA Khiru Mahto will be the party's candidate from Bihar for Rajya Sabha elections, said the party's national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh.

With this, the Janata Dal-United has dropped Union minister RCP Singh, whose RS term ends on July 5, over his suspected closeness to the BJP top brass. -- ANI
