Hindu man killed over relationship with Muslim woman: Police

Vijay Kumar (25) was killed for his alleged interfaith relationship in Wadi town of Kalaburagi district of Karnataka. A case has been registered under 302 & 34 IPC and SC/ST Act at Wadi PS.

"The girl's father & brother stabbed my son," stated the deceased's mother in the FIR.

"Vijay Kumar was murdered by two men namely Shahabuddin and Nawaz on May 25 because of his friendship with Shahbuddin's sister. Last year the accused had assaulted Vijay and warned him against speaking to his sister. Both accused are in police custody," Isha Pant, SP Kalaburagi.
