Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute: Mathura district court allows hearing of lawsuit in lower court over removal of Shahi Idgah Masjid.

The mosque is built on the land belonging to the Keshav Dev temple, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, a lawyer for the Hindu side said.

"Plaintiffs had filed a suit in the lower court and observed that plaintiffs don't have a right to sue. A revision was filed before the Mathura district court. The court now said that the lower court's order is wrong and stayed it," says Advocate Mukesh Khandelwal.

The Krishna Janmabhoomi complex spans 13.37 acres.

According to the petition, the mosque is built on the land that belongs to the temple.
