Trends: BJP crosses 100 in UP, AAP leads in Punjab

The BJP is ahead of the Samajwadi Party-led alliance in Uttar Pradesh and the AAP and Congress are neck-and-neck in Punjab in very early trends based on postal ballots as votes are being counted in five states.

The BJP is hoping to retain power in four states - Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. In Punjab, the ruling Congress faces a big test.
