Modi speaks to Ukraine president for 35 minutes

Prime Minister Modi spoke over the phone to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for about 35 minutes. The two leaders discussed the evolving situation in Ukraine. The PM appreciated the continuing direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine.

This is Modi's third call to to the Ukranian President. He spoke to Zelenskyy on February 26 . After India abstained during a vote in the United Nations Security council, Zelensky spoke to PM Modi and sought India's political support at the UNSC.

Modi will also speak to Russian President Vladimir Putin today.
