Ukranine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy addresses his country and the world at large:

"During the night, Russia hit Mykolayiv residential areas, using rocket artillery. They hit Kharkiv neighbourhoods, they hit other cities too. This had zero sense from a military standpoint, it's simply terror.

"If the invasion continues, and Russia is not stopping, a new sanction package is needed.

"A boycott of Russian export, refusal to buy Russian oil & petroleum products. You can call it an embargo or a moral thing to do, when you refuse to give money to terrorists.

"How many more deaths are needs for you to secure our sky? We are waiting for this decision, either (for you to do it) with the force you have or provide us with planes and anti-aircraft systems that will give us the strength to do it."
