SC to hear Malik, Deshmukh's plea today

NCP leaders Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmukh, who are lodged in jail, move Supreme Court seeking permission to attend the floor test in Maharashtra tomorrow. Supreme Court agrees to hear their plea this evening. The two leaders were not given bail to attend the Rajya Sabha elections.

The Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan issues the notification for a special assembly session scheduled on June 30 and asks its all members to be present for this session.

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has asked the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government to take a floor test on Thursday, although the Sena has approached the Supreme Court challenging the direction.
