Sena proposes disqualification of 12 MLAs including Shinde

Shiv Sena has requested the deputy speaker in Maharashtra assembly to disqualify the 12 rebel MLAs who did not attend the partys meeting on Wednesday.
"We've filed petition before the Deputy Speaker and demanded that the membership of 12 (MLAs) should be cancelled as they didn't attend yesterday's meeting." party MP Arvind Sawant said in Mumbai.
Sawant said that before the meeting, a notice was issued in which it was said that if they didn't attend the meeting then legal action will be taken as per the Constitution.
"Some didn't come and some gave unnecessary reasons," he said.
The 12 MLAs whose names have been proposed for disqualification are: Eknath Shinde, Prakash Surve, Tanaji Sawant, Mahesh Shinde, Abdul Sattar, Sandeep Bhumare, Bharat Gogawale, Sanjay Shirsat, Yamini Yadhav, Anil Babar, Balaji Devdas and Lata Chaudhari.
