Maha police summons Nupur Sharma on June 22

The Mumbra Police in Maharashtra has summoned suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on 22nd June to record her statement over her controversial religious remarks.

The BJP on Sunday suspended Nupur Sharma from the party's primary membership and expelled its Delhi media head Naveen Kumar Jindal after their inflammatory remarks against minorities.

India on Sunday conveyed to Qatar and Kuwait that it had taken strong action against those who made controversial remarks on Twitter against the minorities.
