Former vice chairman Niti Aayog and currently professor at Columbia university, US, Arvind Panagariya meets PM Modi. "It is always invigorating to meet with and listen to PM @narendramodi. He told me about the transformation under way through Gati-Shakti and numerous other initiatives. We also discussed many policy issues. Thank you Prime Minister!" the eminent economist tweeted.

Panagariya who quit Niti in 2017 is believed to have written to Modi on the hardships the demonetisation exercise inflicted on the public, and wanted no scrutiny of those who'd deposited up to Rs 2.5 lakh. He was also reportedly unhappy with the pace of reforms in the first two years of the Modi government, says reports.
