Mumbai has 20,971 new Covid cases, Delhi 17,335

Mumbai on Friday reported an all-time high of 20,971 Covid cases, with 1395 hospitalisations. Of the latter, 88 were put on oxygen.

The metropolis, which has been seeing a surge in Covid cases over the last 10 days, also saw six Covid-related deaths.

New Delhi, the other city that has seen an outburst of Covid cases, reported 17,335 new Covid cases on Friday, and nine Covid-related deaths.

Its number of active cases stands at 38,873, while Mumbai has an active caseload of 91,731.
