AAP MP Raghav Chadha on the party's huge lead in the MCD polls: "BJP got a befitting reply from the people of Delhi. People have voted for the one who works for development. Today, Delhi has wiped out the 'keechar' that BJP tried to throw on Arvind Kejriwal. We'll transform Delhi into the most beautiful city in the world."

As the counting of votes progresses in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi polls, both Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party are claiming to win the polls but the latest trends suggest AAP securing 107 seats so far and leading in 25; while the BJP is leading on 20 wards (winning 85) so far.

AAP leaders went into a huddle as the counting threw up a contest much tighter than the AAP sweep predicted by exit polls. Manish Sisodia and Raghav Chadha rushed to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP boss Arvind Kejriwal's residence. They were joined by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
