BJP leader says 'proud' of Lalu's donor daughter

BJP leader Giriraj Singh, easily a fierce critic of Lalu Prasad Yadav, has praised his daughter Rohini Acharya for donating her kidney.

"Rohini Acharya is the ideal daughter. I'm proud of you. You have set an example for future generations," Singh tweeted.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal president had a kidney transplant in Singapore yesterday and is said to be doing well.

Lalu Yadav's daughter Misa Bharati had tweeted a picture (see alongside) with Rohini after the operation, writing that both her father and sister were doing well and were in the ICU at the hospital recuperating.

Acharya, who is in her early 40s, has been winning praise for donating her kidney to the 74-year-old veteran politician.
