Should wait till Dec 8: HP CM on as exit polls

As majority of exit polls projecting that the Bharatiya Janata Party would retain power in Himachal Pradesh, chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said people should still wait till December 8.

The counting of votes will take place on December 8.

"Many of the exit polls are showing the BJP forming the government, while some show a neck-to-neck fight on a few seats. We should wait till December 8. According to our analysis, there's a complete possibility of the BJP comfortably forming the government," Thakur said.

Two exit polls showed a dead heat between the BJP and the Congress in Himachal Pradesh where the results could go either way.
