Shooting at Canberra airport, 1 held: Aus cops

The Canberra airport terminal has been evacuated as a precaution after a shooting incident on Sunday afternoon, said the Australian federal police.

One person has been taken into custody and a firearm has been recovered from his possession.

"CCTV is reviewed and at this time the person in custody is believed to be the only person responsible for this incident,' said the police.

The situation at the airport is contained, said the police. -- ANI
