Narendra Dabholkar murder case: Charges framed against five accused by Pune court under IPC sec 302 (murder), 120(b), 34 along with sec 16 of UAPA & sec 3(25), 27(1), 27(3) of Arms Act.

Framing of charges against accused Sanjeev Punalekar to be done under sec 201 IPC.

The next hearing is on 30 Sept.

All five accused pleaded not guilty in the case. Court has also directed that the two accused Sharad Kalakar and Sachin Andure, lodged in Arthur Road Jail and Harsul Jail of Aurangabad respectively, to be shifted to Yerawada Central Prison in Pune.

Dabholkar, who was a rationalist, was shot dead by two men while he was on a morning walk on the V R Shinde bridge near Omkareshwar temple in Pune, on August 20, 2013.

The CBI took over the probe from Pune City Police in 2014.
