Last night on Kaun Banega Crorepati, Amitabh Bachchan said Ravi Shastri was the first cricketer to hit six sixes in a match.

Wrong!

The first cricketer to do so was The GREAT Gary Sobers, playing for Nottinghamshire, who hit Glamorgan's Malcolm Nash for six sixes in an over in a county cricket game on August 31, 1968.

Playing for Bombay, Shastri hit Baroda's left arm spinner Tilak Raj for 6 sixes in 1985.
