Farmers suffer severe losses due to unseasonal rains

No end to woes of farmers. Flooding of the Kosi and Ramganga rivers in the wake of heavy rains has damaged standing paddy crops.

"Our hard work of six months has gone in vain. We are sifting the remains now. The loss is about Rs 50,000," a farmer says in Moradabad.
