Restaurants can stay open till midnight: Maha govt

The Maharashtra government will allow all restaurants and eateries to stay open till midnight from now on. All other establishments that have been allowed to function by the government can stay open till 11pm, an order by the state government said.

"Local District Disaster Management Authority may restrict these timings further if so deemed fit due to any local requirements but shall not relax it further without the consent of SDMA," the order signed by Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte said.

The Maharashtra government in August allowed malls and restaurants to remain open till 10 pm with 50 per cent capacity provided the entire staff is fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Shops are also allowed to operate till 10 pm.
