TN offers incentives for Covid medical workers

The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday announced incentives for medical professionals working during the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Accordingly, for April, May and June, Rs 30,000 will be given to doctors, Rs 20,000 to nurses and Rs 15,000 to other workers. Rs 20,000 will also be given as incentives to PG students and trainee doctors. 

Chief Minister MK Stalin also announced Rs 25 lakhs each as compensation for 43 frontline workers and families of government doctors who passed away while carrying out their duties during the pandemic.
