SC's Justice DY Chandrachud tests Covid positive

Supreme Court judge Justice DY Chandrachud has tested positive for Covid-19.

A staff member, too, has tested positive for the virus.

Even though the judge is recovering well, sources suggest that the bench headed by the judge will not assemble for the coming few days.

The matter regarding the Covid-19 crisis is being heard by a bench headed by Justice Chandrachud. The hearing was also scheduled to happen tomorrow.

In absence of the judge, the hearing is likely to be adjourned for another date.
