Maha: Covid vaccination for 18-44 group halted

Maharashtra has temporarily halted Covid vaccination for those in the age-group of 18-44 years amid a shortage in vaccines. The state government has decided to divert its current stock to those whose second dose is pending at present.

The state government currently has 7 lakh doses of Covishield and 3 lakh doses of Covaxin.

Serum Institute of India has promised to provide the state with 1.5 crore Covishield doses after May 20.
