British High Commissioner to India Allex Ellis on British aid flown to India: "The way we work is, through Govt of India. Things flown over are things that are being specified by Foreign Ministry and Health Ministry. We're doing this through Indian Red Cross Society.

"Govt of India is in better position to work out where goods, ventilators or oxygen concentrators are best applied. Whatever we produce is at GoI's request. They tell us requirements, we work them through Indian Red Cross and it's up to GoI to decide where it's best applied."
