Mamata reinstates police officers removed by EC

WB CM Mamata Banerjee's first address from Nabanna after she was sworn-in today. 

On Covid-19: "Looking at the COVID-19 situation, we have to take some steps. Wearing of masks to be mandatory. There will be only 50% attendance in state govt offices. Shopping complexes, gyms, cinema halls, beauty parlours to be closed. Social/political gatherings prohibited. 

"Work from home for private sector, for 50% of the staff allowed. Jewellery shops to remain open from 12 pm to 3 pm. Home delivery to be encouraged. Banks to operate from 10 am to 2 pm.

"Random checking will be done in inter-state buses, RT-PCR negative report not older then 72 hours is mandatory for the passengers. The ruling is also applicable to the passengers of train services."

On post-poll violence: "No such incident can be tolerated. There is more disturbance in places where BJP has won. BJP is circulating about fake incidents through old videos. My appeal to all political parties is to stop this. You all have done a lot during elections. Bengal is a place of unity."

Banerjee also reinstated IPS officer Virendra as Bengal DGP. Jawed Shamim reinstated as ADG Law and Order. EC appointed ADG Law & Order Jag Mohan posted in Civil Defence & EC appointed DGP Nirajnayan Pandey posted in Fire & Emergency Services.
