Mamata Banerjee takes oath as West Bengal CM. The oaths were taken in chaste Bengali.

She exchanged a brief conversation with West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankar with folded hands and then took oath.

She has invited Dilip Ghosh from the BJP, Adhir Ranjan from the Congress and Biman Bose from the CPI-M as a message of inclusiveness.

Banerjee said the oath-taking ceremony would be low-key following Covid protocols.
