BJP promises 33% women quota in Bengal govt jobs

Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveils Bharatiya Janata Party's election manifesto 'Sonar Bangla Sankalpa Patra' for West Bengal.

The manifesto emphasises on women's safety, infra development, health, industry.

The BJP has promised 33 per cent reservation for women in state government jobs.

"Women to be given 33 per cent reservation in state government jobs. We have also decided to provide free education to women from KG to PG," Shah said in Kolkata.

Promising to implement Citizenship Amendment Act, Shah said, "We have decided that no infiltrators to be allowed in Bengal and border fencing will be strengthened. CAA will be implemented in the first cabinet and refugees who have been staying here for 70 years will be given citizenship."

"Each refugee family will get Rs 10,000 per year for 5 years," he said.  -- ANI
